About event
Carolin cube reads from her book
Christa Wolf, Brigitte Reimann, Maxie Wander - were they dreamers or doers, these three women who became icons of GDR literature? In her atmospheric portrait, Carolin cube shows three women writers who could hardly be more different in temperament and yet have one thing in common: enthusiasm for the promise of socialism, the willingness to implement the dream of the new human being in their everyday lives, their work and their relationships.
The self-confidence with which these women pursued their goals in the 1950s and 1960s, supporting each other as friends - but how their dreams also burst is what Carolin cube tells us in an inspired and rousing way and brings a piece of contemporary history to life.
Welcome: Daniela Trochowski (Executive Board Member of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung)
Moderation: Ulrike Hempel (Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung)
Participation fee: 3 euros
