About event

On the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Gentle Revolution, Drť presents a special double concert, where the albums Kruh & spirála with Fedor Gál will be played for the last time on one stage, as well as the new album Drôtenka with Zuzana Husárová, which will be released on November 17 2024 released on the new Slovak label Lowbottomy.

Kruh & spirála won this year The Dominik Tatarka Award and the compositions are given by the experience of Fedor Gál, who was born in 1945 in the Terezín concentration camp, was one of the leaders of the Gentle Revolution and to this day he is a civic activist, writer and critical intellectual.

The new album Drôtenky contains critical texts by the poet and performer Zuzana Husárová, who also sings in the band. The songs focus on pressure and violence against women, as well as. avoiding responsibility in situations where a person does not intervene against negative circumstances.

Furthermore, they deal with neighborly relations, in which prejudices are reflected and they also react to turning a blind eye to the existence of war. The lyrics also work with Slovak legends and myths and ask questions about the future.

The band was also strengthened by keyboardist Eva Sajanová (God and Eve). The author of the compositions is Miroslav Tóth, who plays the baritone saxophone. Marek Buranovský (Vojdi) plays the baritone guitar, Lucia Chuťková (Hvozd) on the second keys, Márton Csernovszky (Deus Ex Quartet, Kinetic Erotic) on the bass guitar and Jozef Krupa (Ankramu) on the drums, Tomáš Bateško will play the second electric bass.< /p>
