About event
Dummy (USA) + Wishy (USA)
Shoegazey rock and electronic dreampop
Mainstage | Ticket €13.00 After the release of their first album, Dummy spent two years on the road. After returning to their hometown of Los Angeles, the band couldn't wait to get back into the studio and experiment with new sounds. Dummy is a creatively restless band and wanted to sound harder, more danceable and more psychedelic on the album they were going to write. 'Free Energy' is an album that celebrates the power of music by moving the body, whether that's through a teeth-chattering wall of My Bloody Valentine-esque sounds, a catchy pop chorus, an upbeat drum machine — or, if you Dummy, all these elements in the same song.
Support Wishy sounds like looking through a kaleidoscope, with elements of shoegaze, grunge and power-pop merging together to create new shapes and sounds. Their music floats between hazy dream pop and alt-rock, with a good dose of nostalgic 90's alt-pop.
