Dustin O'Halloran / De Oosterpoort

The American pianist and composer Dustin O'Halloran is one of the big names from the neoclassical scene. He has a background in pop, but has now built up a repertoire of six solo albums. Dustin's compositions combine classical influences with experimental elements, where he knows how to incorporate both his feeling and his technical virtuosity into his playing. He brings an intensive mix of intimate piano music and complex compositions. Dustin O'Halloran started his career in the dream pop band Dēvics and broke through with solo piano albums that caught the attention of film industry greats like Sofia Coppola. After breakthrough work for the film 'Marie Antoinette' (2006) and the Amazon series Transparent, he continues to develop with various musical projects, including his recent album '1001' (2024) under Deutsche Grammophon, which is a mix of electronic and orchestral music.
