VYPREDANÉ - É. Louis: Stať sa iným / PRAKTIKÁBEL

The production is loosely inspired by the literary work of French author Édouard Louis, who in ruthless narratives, themes the misery of childhood and adolescence Queer of a person in a homophobic and racist environment working class in the French countryside. However, these stories are not for the purpose of dehonesting the lower layers, on the contrary, they make the social habitus visible and its causes. It is also about social inequality, violence, but especially about finding your own way to freedom. The way of criticism in his works is multi -layered and the reader finds himself before complex ethical dilemmas. who overlooks his needs, they want him to fit. So he tries to change himself and suppress his personality.

Can one constantly change without losing himself? How far is we need to go to seek identity and freedom in an environment where social standards and expectations oppress individuality? How do these standards and expectations form our identity and what impact on our decisions and life trips? The production refers to the importance of self -acceptance and courage to be authentic, although it means confronting social standards, family or even with himself.
