About event
The film Eating The Future, presented by FOUR PAWS International, is a multi-award-winning documentary that exposes the horrors of factory farming and the failures of our food system, while presenting alternative methods that offer a better perspective for the future.
The documentary "Eating the Future" follows a curious narrator who goes undercover to not only expose the harsh reality of factory farming, but also search for hope. On her journey through Europe she meets people from agriculture, medicine, research, as well as animal and environmental activists and people who worked in slaughterhouses. Step by step she approaches the question: “What does it take to improve the lives of everyone in this system - and what could an agriculture of the future look like that solves problems and offers sustainable solutions?”
The award-winning documentary “Eating the Future” is touring Germany for the first time. The film impressively illuminates our complex, crisis-driven food system - and shows how together we can find new ways for a sustainable future. Instead of polarizing, “Eating the Future” invites you to think and help shape things.
After the film screening, climate activist Mitzi Jonelle Tan gives an inspiring impulse. Afterwards we invite you to an exciting panel discussion - with the author Tanja Busse, the scientists Julia Jägle and Hanna Treu and the former farmer Laurence Dungworth. Together they discuss how agriculture, animal protection and climate protection can be thought of together - and what that means for our future.
