Juraj Bartusz, Martin Lukáč, Márton Nemes
Duration of the exhibition: 28/02 - 05/04 2025
Panská 2 - Main Square, Bratislava
Exhibition Echoes examines experimentally Lukáč and Márton Nemes. It connects the creators whose works cross the boundaries of traditional art media and bring new artistic experience. The works of art of these authors are the result of bold experiments with statue, painting, digital technologies and innovative materials. Their work shows how planned compositions with unpredictable results overlap in contemporary visual art. Their works oscillate between geometric abstraction, expressive gesture and digital aesthetics, thereby reflecting current tendencies in global art. Visitors allows visitors to look into the processes of artistic experimentation and their impact on the perception of contemporary art. It is one of the pioneers of geometric abstraction, concreteism and minimalism in Slovakia. Since the 1970s, he has used computer technologies to generate curves and forms he applied to his sculptural creation. In 2024 he was a representative of Hungary at the Venetian Biennial. Its work is characterized by fluorescent colors, reflective surfaces and intense visual energy, combining painting, sculpture and installation. It draws inspiration from the techno of culture, club aesthetics and subcultural phenomena, which is reflected in his dynamic and imerical works.
Martin Lukáč (1989) is a Slovak painter working in New York. In his work, it examines the relationship between figure, symbol and abstract form, characterized by expressive painting, dynamic lines and contrasting motifs. His works often work with reduced shapes and visual shortcut, which gives them a raw and energy expression.
