About event
The 18th year of the festival of Japanese film and culture Eigasai 2025 will show a different life of Japanese men and women.
Japan is often perceived as a "land of men". The woman walking on the street two steps behind her husband has long been perceived as a model of the true Japanese "good wife". But what is the reality? And is it not just the idealization of us Europeans? If a Japanese woman takes care of the family, the man must secure her. But that's not easy at all. And this phenomenon of the Japanese life will bring us this year. In addition to the films, the festival on Saturday will bring a traditional Japanese cultural day in the Lucerna Gallery full of art workshops and stalls with Japanese refreshments. The accompanying cultural program will present traditional and folk dance, theater comedians Kyogen and the drum show. Media partners are Radio 1, 25 FPS, Film and time and Asianstyle. The capital of the festival was awarded to the capital city of Prague.
