Stichting Own power feed is organizing a river creeften fishing competition on Saturday 13 September. The next day follows a record attempt to cook the largest bisque ever. In honor of the jubilee of the city of Amsterdam, 750 lobsters are incorporated into a culinary lobster soup (Bisque). All fishermen, local residents, gourmets and nature lovers are welcome in the Lydia community center.
The crayfish is an invasive exotic who spreads rapidly in Amsterdam waters. The animal causes damage, but is also very tasty. Is eating the solution for this scourge? With this initiative, its own concentrate wants to draw attention to nature management, city nature and self -sufficient capacity in a tasty and educational way.
Program
Saturday 13 September - Fishing competition
Location: Kalfjeslaan, Amstelveen | Starting at noon
Participation: € 10 (up to 18 years) | € 15 (adults)
Equipment and instructions are provided by the organization.
Sunday 14 September - Bisque and award ceremony
Location: Buurthuis Lydia, Roelof Hartplein 2 | Start 5 pm
Access: € 10 (free for participants fishing competition)
Including bisque van riverkreft, baguette and herb butter.
