About event

We take a look at three projects together that show how climate diligence can succeed. From the Hasenheide to the Emmauswald.

cities are heating up, heat waves meet more and more. Green parks and shady places are therefore all the more important to cool off far from concrete and asphalt.

But how can we get the trees in our parks of drought and heat? And how can we create important cooling island in the smallest space that are available for all people all over the city?

The answer to these questions and we can find many more on our 7. Tree tour . From Hasenheide to the Emmauswald, we discover three pioneer projects to adapt to climate change in the city. We accompany the approximately two -hour leadership of Stadtnatur Berlin, which regularly tours and workshops on the subject of climate silence. From Hasenheide to the Emmauswald, we discover three pioneer projects to adapt to climate change in the city. We accompany the approximately two -hour leadership of Stadtnatur Berlin, which regularly offer tours and workshops on the subject of climate silence for young and old.

The Hasenheide has been converted into a climate -adapted city park since 2022. For example, the floors are improved, planted new tree species that can handle drought particularly well and increases rainwater use.

The Nanowald In the Oderstrasse, the association tiny Forest and the residents were created. About 90 young plants were planted on a small area to create a habitat for animals and a cooler microclimate.

The Emmauswald is the largest forest of Neukölln and thus an important place for relaxation and biodiversity. In a thermally highly contaminated district like Neukölln, this is an effective cooling. The initiative Emmauswald remains against development plans of the area.
