The three musicians of this long-standing piano trio present a diverse program Selection of powerful new compositions that they have already recorded on their CD 'Pictures In Sounds', several jazz arrangements of classic European baroque pieces as well as some popular standards that are in the vital jazz tradition and famous Italian compositions.
An exciting trio evening with great joy in playing and creative communication between the three musicians awaits the listeners in the 'Schlot'!

Ekkehard Wölk (Pianist/Composer/Arranger)
Ekkehard Wölk initially studied classical piano at the Lübeck University of Music and musicology
at the University of Hamburg and the Humboldt University in Berlin.
After master classes with John Taylor and Walter Norris, he visited the USA several times,
gave concerts and workshops in New York and Massachusetts. made recordings there
and continued studying with Fred Hersch and Barry Harris.
As a composer and arranger, Wölk won several prizes and composition scholarships
and worked on various radio productions for NDR, Deutschlandradio Kultur,
RBB, BR and WDR.
He also worked as a pianist and composer for theater productions in Germany and Switzerland and
set many classic silent films to music live and on recordings DVD.
In addition to his national and international concert activities, Wölk has released seven CD productions
under his own name in Germany and Italy since 2005, among others. 'SONGS, CHORALS AND DANCES' and 'PICTURES IN SOUNDS'
(both released by Nabel Records:www.nabelrecords.de )
He also performed successfully with his own trio and larger ensemble at many well-known festivals at home and abroad,
e.g. a. the Leipzig Bach Festival, the Würzburg Mozart Festival, the UFA Film Nights in Berlin, the International Jazz Festival New Delhi,
in the Glinka Philharmonic and the Mariinski Theater in St. Petersburg, the Palais Royal des Beaux Arts in Brussels and
in many international countries such as the USA, Canada, Estonia, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, India and Russia,
among others. with support from the Goethe Institute.

ANDREA MARCELLI - Drummer/composer born in Rome, Italy.
He moved to the USA in 1989 spending 8 years in Los Angeles
and 4 in New York. He is, since 2001, resident in Berlin/Germany.
He performed and/or recorded with Wayne Shorter, Don Menza,
David Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Harold Land, Markus Stockhausen,
Eddie Gomez, Mike Stern, Mitchel Forman, Allan Holdsworth,
Bob Berg, John Patitucci, Eberhard Weber, Alphonso Johnson,
Jeff Berlin, Palle Danielsson, Arild Anderson, Alan Pasqua,
Bob Sheppard, Frank Gambale, Hiram Bullock, Andy Summers,
Rick Margitza, and others.
During his career he performed in USA, Japan, India, Brazil, South Africa,
Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tunisia, Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Denmark,
Sweden, Norway, Russia, Estonia, France, Belgium, Finland, Luxembourg,
Lebanon and others.
Andrea recorded many CDS and two acclaimed solo CDs for legendary
Major Jazz Label VERVE/PolyGram with his original compositions.
He graduated in 1986 from the L. Refice Conservatory in Frosinone (Rome)
in Classical Clarinet, Jazz Composition and Arrangement.
Two of Andrea's compositions are included in "The European Real Book"
and "The Digital Real Book part two" by www.shermusic.com.
Andrea has more than 200 of his compositions recorded in CDs and
broadcasted world-wide.

LARS GÜHLCKE studied double bass at the conservatory
in Amsterdam and Hilversum. Long-term collaboration
with Ed Kröger (“What’s New”, “Movin’On” and “Another Step”
at Laika Records). For 2 years, he has been a permanent member of
Inner Shape, a young jazz formation around the
saxophonist Roman Ott. CD production with Inner Shape With
Kurt Rosenwinkel. After a stay in New York, he has been working as a freelancer in Berlin since 1999 and gives concerts at home and abroad. Among others: Marianne Rosenberg,
Scott Hamilton, Till Brönner, Johan Leijonhufvud, Torsten Goods.
