The Argentine fantastic cinema has almost three decades of continuity, mostly with independent and low -budget films, often listed as "bizarre" in a derogatory way.
Bizarrophilia explores this production from a revisionist approach, arguing that, in a country where bizarre is everyday, this cinema should not generate rejection. With humor and seriousness, interview with key figures of the current scene to draw a historical tour and reflect the love that this genre arouses among its creators and spectators.
We offer a cultural workshop in which each spectator You can enroll in the Cineclub composed of four sessions or in the loose sessions that interest you most.
Each session is composed of the projection of the film that will be held in our auditorium and a subsequent dynamization by Professor Santiago Slabý, the meetings can also have online participation of their directors.
About the dynamizer:
Santiago Slabý has been working in the audiovisual world for two decades, through the storyboard, graphic design, animation and post-production. It also has a decade managing the Netfliz online space for poor, focused on diffusion of unusual, interesting and classic film; From the hand of this medium it has released two experimental feature films. He has also worked in the history of animation cinema and in artistic teaching for children. He lives in Prague seven years ago.
