🚨 Registration for ELECTION NIGHT 2024 is open! 🚨
U.S. The Ambassador's Youth Council and the Model American Congress (AmKon) cordially invite you to participate in the event of the year - the US presidential election. On Tuesday, November 5 and Wednesday, November 6, the premises of the American Center in Prague will be transformed into the epicenter of election events.
You can expect a program full of stimulating discussions and activities with experts who will bring you closer to the American elections like never before. A lot of entertainment will also be prepared, all in the spirit of the elections. You can look forward to, for example, a pub quiz about American presidents or a mini simulation of Congress.
PROGRAMME:
Tuesday 5.11.
18:00 – Official opening of the program
Lecture: "How is the American president elected?" – Jiří Pondelíček
19:00 - 19:30 - Virtual meeting and discussion with Amy Cohen (executive director of the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED)
19:30 and again at 21:00 - Chat with Emma, Fulbright English Teaching Assistant from the USA
20:35 - Start of the American presidents pub quiz: "Do you know the American presidents?"
From 20:35 until the end - Mini-simulation of the presidential campaign with the AmKon association (duration approx. 30 min)
Other activities such as:
➡️Youth Council board game "Democracy pie"
➡️Campaign Trail online game play
➡️Bingo about media coverage of the election, streamed on televisions in the American Center
➡️Simulated presidential election for participants including replicas of American ballots
➡️Photo booth with cutouts and more !
Wednesday 11/6
10:00 – Expert discussion: "What are the results of the US presidential election and how will it affect the world?"

Guests: Jakub Lepš, Jana Ciglerová (online), Jakub Dopieralla and Kateřina Březinová
