About event
The story that unfolds before you is not only a celebration of the talented Roma writer, journalist and educator Elena Lacková, but also a deep and emotional look at our times, their culture and the challenges we face.
The main character. , a Roma journalist, tries to capture Elena's inspiring stories and her tireless fight for Roma rights and integration on his literary journey. While he enthusiastically writes his manuscript, he also faces personal dilemmas. His love for his non-Roma girlfriend is overshadowed by the prejudices of her parents, who distrust him for his Roma identity.
How will he cope with the pressure and expectations placed on him? What price is he willing to pay for love and truth? His manuscript must be handed in by eight o'clock tomorrow, so we generally ask: can he find a balance between personal and professional challenges in time?
"Elena Lacková: Stories from the Kitchen" is more than just a theatrical performance. It is an emotional journey that reveals the hidden layers of life, culture and relationships as we know and experience them. Join us at this extraordinary premiere and let yourself be carried away by the powerful thoughts, deep emotions and unforgettable moments that this monodrama offers.
We look forward to your presence and the moments we spend together.
