About event
As part of the program series "Conjunctions - acts of beg in relation", choreographer André Uerba invites you to a two -day Embodied Practice. "Space Weavers" (German: "Raumweber") takes gestures of intimacy and support such as giving and receiving the creative and ethical starting point. The workshop explores structural and political aspects of intimacy through gestures, text, sound and touch.
As a choreographic laboratory, "Space Weavers" emerges from the cultivation of physical practices. The focus is on exercises of deceleration, connection and feeling together. The participants are invited to discover their 'Space Weaver' - their producer of rooms who live in - as an individual and as a collective body. Through working with slow movements, closeness, presence, space, consensus and gentle touch, the workshop would like to create a space in which the need for belonging as well as being seen, being heard and keeping is in the foreground: "Space Weavers" is a common search for new forms of gathering in the 21st century.
