🔸How to prepare for a conversation in which I would like to provide empathy to the other person?
🔸How to combine emotional empathy (experiencing the other's feelings) with cognitive empathy (understanding the other's perspective)?

Prerequisites:
This is a course for advanced. Please take one of the introductory nonviolent communication courses before signing up. You can find introductory courses here: https://nenasilnakomunikace.org/kurzy/.
Maybe you already know how to name and reflect the feelings and needs of others, and sometimes even listen, but you are thinking about how to empathically support others and come closer to a deeper understanding in relationships. In the course, you will learn about other techniques for supporting the quality of presence with others and their experience, which is empathy. In other words, you will know how to create the space for them to feel truly seen, heard and taken seriously.
You will learn to perceive different ways to express and create empathy, from effective listening and reflecting the other's experience to subtle forms support and responsive responses that help build trust and openness. You will explore your own reactions and learn to consciously choose empathetic ways of communicating that promote connection. The course is a combination of theoretical inputs, practical exercises and sharing in a group.
