Another evening of insightful conversations on empowering books that shape our understanding of women's journeys. Hosted by FP Ambassador Veronika Smrčková, this book club meet-up is a tribute to narratives penned by authors illuminating the path towards women empowerment. Unlike many book clubs, we don't read entire books – we focus on short stories, making preparation less demanding and more accessible for everyone.

As always, we’re excited to welcome new faces to our book club! Whether you're a long-time member or joining us for the first time, you're warmly invited to be part of these enriching discussions. This book club edition is inspired by the Femme Palette event Balancing Motherhood & Career. The selected story Lu, Reshaping by Madeleine Thien follows the complex relationship between a mother and daughter and explores how intergenerational support—especially in a context where the daughter navigates English better than the mother—can shape both personal and professional growth.
