Empowerment offers many advantages: It promotes the intrinsic motivation of employees and a proactive attitude. It increases the innovative strength of the company and the performance of employees. It leads to greater identification with the company and reduces fluctuation.

Therefore, it is surprising why empowerment is not consistently practiced in many more organizations today. Instead, in many places we still see outdated structures that give employees too many guidelines and managers who are not prepared to give up control. But even where new structures have been created, there is often a lack of psychological empowerment so that people can fully develop their effectiveness in these structures.

Your trainer

Dr. Martin Ebeling is a philosopher and heads the Business program from The School of Life Berlin. With his mission to support the change towards a more humane working world, he is active as a trainer, facilitator and speaker. As a philosopher, he believes that we can only shape the necessary change if we rethink work and therefore likes to describe himself as the Instigator of Ideas.

In addition, he primarily deals with the big questions of philosophy and ours Potential for more emotional growth, and hopes that mindfulness and (self-)compassion will increasingly find their way into our society. As the author of the book “Conciliatory Democracy,” he advocates a different approach to the political disagreements that shape our time. He has also written numerous scientific philosophical essays.
