ENGLISH TEACHER - LE HASARD LUDIQUE | 23.10.24

Caramba Culture Live & Le Hasard Ludique present, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘤 - 𝘜𝘒)

Originally from Leeds, English Teacher was made known thanks to his first independent label Nice Swan Records and his acclaimed EP, "𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘺𝘢𝘸𝘬𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥". Their 1st album, "𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘉𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘴", explores themes of identity and social issues. Led by the introspective lyrics of Lily Fontaine, their sound mixes rhythmic punk art and poignant ballads. From confronting prejudice to addressing mental health, English Teacher's music is a candid reflection of their experiences and influences, enriched with literary references and personal anecdotes. In collaboration with renowned producer Marta Salogni (Bjork, Depeche Mode, M.I.A...), the group has produced a sincere and eclectic first album which risks marking its era.
