The ensemble1800berlin is now making a guest appearance at Klassik in Spandau for the sixth time: this time with Beethoven's 7th Symphony as chamber music with piano, flute, violin, cello. Chamber music versions were fashionable during Beethoven's time and were often the only way to hear the works of the famous master from Vienna in bourgeois or noble salons. The ensemble1800berlin has specialized in the reproduction of these wonderful and highly virtuoso arrangements and reproduces them on historical instruments. The concert features an original historical grand piano by the Viennese piano maker Conrad Graf, whose instruments Beethoven himself preferred. The audience is prepared for the 7th Symphony with the overture to the ballet “The Creatures of Prometheus”, with a short lecture by Dr. Andrea Klitzing and the last sentence from “Eroica”. An extraordinary concert enjoyment with surprising perspectives on Beethoven's incomparable music.
