About event
In its program of the Slovak Composers in Slovak Cities project, EnsembleSpectrum presents a selection of works by the young and middle generation of Slovak composers. Prominent personalities, whose works are regularly heard at festivals and shows around the world, combine a desire to experiment as well as a full-fledged dialogue with the most current trends in creation in the world.
The most prominent personalities of the middle generation of Slovak artists include Jana Kmiťová and Ivan Buff. They are united by technical meticulousness, masterful orchestration combined with immense musicality and emotion. The young generation on our program will be represented by Lenka Novosedlíková and Matej Sloboda. Both artists try to create a dialogue with the most current trends in the world and bring them to Slovakia. Their works exude self-confidence in their own artistic expression, while synthesizing modern trends and original creativity. The synthesis of the traditional with the experimental, the fusion of serious music and other genres is also a characteristic element of our last composer in the program, Košice native Juraj Vajó.
In the words of Roman Berger: "there is a rediscovery of the musical avant-garde in our country". And you can be there.
