The Brno Architecture Gallery and Era21 are invited to a lecture and discussion evening on the theme of history, presence and future of post -war department stores. They gradually lost their social and aesthetic significance under the pressure of progress, and the company has set out on the way of endless corridors of large shopping centers, and eventually entered algorithmically controlled bubbles of online trading, where the element of physical discovery, flancing and accidental meetings disappeared. But what preceded and what are the future solutions? Are they the only way of demolition, as was the case with the Brno prior? Or can postwar department stores adapt to current needs? And how? Loose.
