Erich Boboš Procházka & Marek Wolf - Jazztikot

PSYCHEDELIC BLUES

Erich Boboš Procházka & Marek Wolf approach the blues radically differently compared to other performers and thus move it far beyond the boundaries of its tradition by using expressive means of various genres. They don't present the well-known compositions of the biggest figures of this musical genre in a classic way, but literally "decompose" them down to their basic elements, in order to immediately create something completely new, demonic, which has very little in common with the original composition. Procházka is a recognized harmonica virtuoso with a 30-year career as a studio and concert player, Wolf, a guitarist a generation younger, is not only a great instrumentalist, but also a composer and arranger who is one of the leading personalities of the Slovak blues scene. EBP&MW recorded 4 albums together: Diversion (2012), Inversion (2014), Live (2015) and Conversion (2016); In 2015 and 2017, Inversion and Conversion won the Slovak Blues Top blues survey in the category "The Best CD / The Best Album", the Slovak Blues Society awarded the duo the title "Bluesman of the Year" in 2016, the music magazine Nový populár ranked Conversion among the best albums in 2016 and in 2020, the musicians won the Slovak Blues Top survey in the category "The Best Duo". The concert activity of Erich Boboš Procházka and Marek Wolf is a real treat for music connoisseurs, which is evidenced not only by several hundreds of concerts played at home and abroad, but also by their performances at many renowned international festivals.
