Historical leadership: From the crematorium to the cultural district

The former crematorium Berlin-Wedding is one of the listed buildings in Berlin and reflects the city history in a unique way. Built between 1909 and 1910 as the first crematorium of the city, the building has been testifying for over a century by changing the burial culture in Germany. When the empty building was advertised for sale by the Berlin Senate, Silent Green was awarded the contract in early 2013. After a comprehensive renovation by the Silent Green (2013–2015), in close cooperation with the Berlin monument protection, the independent project has found its home here.
