About event
Eros et Thanatos — spring concert of Entropie Chamber Choir
Spring has come and with it the eternal question: what actually drives us forward? Desire or the knowledge that it will end someday? Come hear Renaissance and early Baroque madrigals in which Monteverdi, Arcadelt, Morley, Landi, Vecchi and Gastoldi knew long ago what Freud later named — that Eros and Thanatos are two voices of the same melody.
🎶 Claudio Monteverdi • Jacques Arcadelt • Thomas Morley • Orazio Vecchi • Giovanni Giacomo Gastoldi • Stefano Landi
🎤 Entropie Chamber Choir
🎼 Conducting Alžběta Holcová
🪕 Theorba: Šimon Tamaki
🎻 Viola da gamba: Melusine de Pas
