About event
Come soak up the atmosphere of alpine peaks and winter adventure at the Escape Adventure Film Festival! 🎬⛷️
A pair of short films Eclipse and Alchimie will get you in the mood for winter. The former follows Ben Buratti in the darkened snowy mountains. Alchimie features a pair of roommates Maxime Maurel and Cyril Pierrel who share a passion for skiing. However, Maxime adds one special element to the film - a parachute 🪂
The main film of the festival is Le Monde d'En Haut (The World Above), which maps the journey of Simon and Guillaume, who set off on a ski-alpine trek in January 2023 across almost the entire Alps. More than 90 days in the mountains, 450 hours on skis, 1,050 kilometers and 80,000 m of ascent bring not only breathtaking views from the Alpine massifs, but also the stories of the people who live among them. A story of adventure, friendship and testimony about the changing mountain environment due to global warming 🏔️
After the screening, you can look forward to a lecture and debate with climatologist Mgr. Pavle Zahradníček, Ph.D., who will follow up on one of the themes of the main film, climate change, but this time in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿
