Strange prophecy and other texts is an anthology of texts by Heinrich von Kleist, some celebrated such as Locarno's beggar, about the puppet theater, a principle of superior criticism, letter to a young poet; Small episodes of the early nineteenth century Berlin, police reports, strange occurrences, opinions, small stories, anecdotes, criticism, and can be read as literary work of an unusual writer or as a modern journalistic writing. Coexistence in a delimited space (a unfoldable sheet - the newspaper) in hybrid and impure ways, asks “where does it start and what is a literary text?”; the subversion that configures a conflict between literary and non -literary, fictional and real, fictitious and factual, poetic and historical; the parallel narrative in contrast to the “official history”; the “instantaneous” of writing and reception; the process of appropriation and transformation; The credible, the inverse, the experience and the truth; Finally, an ostensive miscellany of shapes and records in order to “entertain all classes of the population” in the words of Kleist himself. The meeting and affinity of artists in the project in Octavo is to satisfy a sensitive dimension that is transmitted and survived by memory (inherited and present), create a unique thinking space and print to Portuguese cultural today a moment of pathos - a sensitive uniqueness. Written by Kleist between October 1, 1810 and March 30, 1811.
