Europa seit dem Krieg. Zehnter digitaler Studientag der Evangelischen Akademien zur Friedensethik

Despite US President Donald Trump's attempts at mediation and despite increasing pressure from the EU, the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine continues unabated. Even though the escalation in the Middle East is increasingly attracting media attention, the war in Ukraine remains constantly in the public consciousness. But the longer the war lasts, the more the shock grows due to the increased threat situation, but also the perplexity as to how this war could be ended. In view of the unpredictable behavior of the US President, Ukraine is looking to the EU and especially to Germany with great expectations.

At this study day we will examine the question of the extent to which Ukraine's relationship with Europe has changed in the last three years. We will discuss the process of change Europe is undergoing with the changing role of the Eastern European states. And we will ask what Europeans still believe in. We have invited experts from Ukraine and Europe to answer these questions.
