About event
EuroVelo 11 is an international long-distance cycling route that starts in Athens, Greece and ends in Nordkap, Norway, passing through 12 countries, its total length is approximately 6,500 km. In Slovakia, it crosses the Košice and Prešov regions from north to south and is 203 km long.
Join us on a trip from Košice to Kéked and experience the development of the EuroVelo 11 cycle route in the Košice region.
From Cyklokuchyň we will travel approximately 60 km across the state border to Kéked and back. There will be short stops at several interesting places and a longer break for lunch. The drive will take approximately 4 hours, the total trip 5-6 hours. Representatives of the Košice self-governing region will join us so that we can discuss some key aspects of this project together.
Participants of the trip should take drink, food, layered clothing with them and be ready to repair any defect on the bike themselves. The route will lead along cycle paths, dirt roads and asphalt roads. A road bike with narrow tires may not be suitable, a gravel, cross-country or trekking bike is most suitable.
The ride is open to everyone, but if you are not sure if it will suit you, come and talk to us at Cyklokuchyna on Wednesday during the open workshop.
