About event

Reading and conversation, moderation: Axel Haase

When Wolfgang Mühlberger hears about the death of his only daughter, Nathalie, on the phone, he collapses. Nathalie's death in the psychiatric ward is mysterious. After his wife died of cancer, Mühlberger somehow lost his daughter. Not that they hadn't seen each other anymore, but the widower had closed himself off from his daughter's feelings. She had become too much for him. But who was to blame for Nathalie's death? Mühlberger meets an old acquaintance with whom he had a fateful argument in the 1980s at the Humboldt University...

Eva Förster was born in Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg, in 1968. After studying theater studies and Romance studies, she lives and works in Berlin and Paris. She has been working as a freelance theater critic and journalist since the mid-1990s, publishing features, radio plays, short prose and poems on the radio, in anthologies, weekly and monthly magazines. She won her first literary prize in 2004 at the International Poetry Competition Féile Filíochta in Ireland with her poem Mammography.
