Highland Park was founded by Magnus “Mansie” Eunson – church minister, Whiskey smuggler and pioneer with a mind of his own. After years of secretly storing his barrels, he finally received his distilling license in 1798. To this day, the distillery follows his spirit: with careful craftsmanship and an independent character.

Highland Park has its home on Orkney - a Scottish North Sea island characterized by a harsh climate landscape and a traditional, independent mentality. This unique environment not only shapes the people, but also the whiskey. Nature, community and origins merge here and give each drop its unmistakable character.

The rare, infused with heather plays a crucial role in terms of taste Peat from Orkney. It provides a fine smokiness that underlines the character of the whiskey without dominating it. Highland Park is the only distillery in the world to use this special peat - and it is precisely this nuance that we will discover together during our tasting.
