About event
Ostrava is one of the cities that actively respond to the impact of climate change and systematically develop blue -green infrastructure.
In 2017, it adopted an adaptation strategy to change climate, which defined the main risks and proposed specific measures to increase the resistance of the urban environment. The aim is to detain rainwater in the territory, relieve overheating and improving the quality of life of the population.
The realized measures include the revitalization of public spaces using permeable surfaces, retention elements, green roofs and nature of nearby water areas.
Some of the projects will be visited as part of the excursion - from housing estates to former industrial areas, where space is transformed in accordance with the principles of sustainability.
The excursion will be:
Professional interpretation of designers and implementers,
* electronic proceedings annotation
* moved by bus within the program,
* accommodation with breakfast,
* networking evening with small refreshments, CZK - public administration, academic sector and ngo

transport to Ostrava and back is not part of the price - each participant is ensured individually.
