Expeditie DNA Digitaal: Op weg naar een veilige database

We dive into the value and risks of a digital DNA database. Meet the first test subjects and design yourself!

It has never been easier to have your DNA tested for origins, kinship and health. You hand over your most personal data, without having control over what happens to that data. Fortunately, digitizing DNA can also be done differently - in such a way that we build a usable database for society, while you retain control over your own data. During Waag Open on Thursday, December 12, we will dive into the value and risks of a digital DNA database. Meet the first test subjects and help design yourself!

More information about the program will follow soon!

Waag Open

< p>Every first Thursday evening of the month Waag opens its doors! Come by to discuss and do. Because we don't just discuss social themes and the future – you also always learn something practical. Something you've always wanted to try, like the 3D printer in the FabLab, or something you never expected, like figuring out how DNA is put together in our biotech lab. Waag Open takes place in the production areas on the first and second floor of the historic Waag building on the Nieuwmarkt.
