About event
The orchestral suite The planets invoke celestial bodies in an astrological perspective. As a musical plot, it is inspired by the suggestion that they reveal hidden dimensions of personalities and human relations. When he debuted, in 1918 in the city of London, he echoed this issue that then challenged science: the resource of irrationality to understanding existence. The discussion is above all on popular culture. But Gustav Holst brought her to a surprising stage. The immediate success-which remains today-was largely due to an ancestral sympathy that we have by reading the cosmos as a projection of knowledge, since the mesopotamian civilizations. They will be messengers, the planets?
