Explore: TDK + Kosmonauci

In cooperation with the Sharpe showcase festival, Nová Cvernovka presents the Explore format, where it regularly presents young interesting musical groups on the European scene. As part of the fourteenth edition of the series, the Bulgarian TDK and the Polish Kozmonauci will be presented.

TDK:

“Probably this is the most interesting band from Bulgaria at the moment. I don't like descriptions like that, but imagine if Mark Giuliana, Zack Hill, Colin Stetson, Suicide, Swans and Sade had a baby. It would be an odd six, but yeah, that's life now. The band released their third and most critically acclaimed album less than a year ago and will be releasing new material soon. The album received huge reviews online, even Anthony Fantano mentioned it, which means something for the Bulgarian band. I highly recommend this band, not because I'm a part of it, but as a booker, because their shows are wild and the guys know exactly what they're doing. Their popularity in Bulgaria only confirms this. As you will see from their live videos, they have unpredictable, highly energetic and frankly schizophrenic live shows that simply do not disappoint.” – Proky

Cosmonauts:

A boy band with a jazz foundation, which draws on hip-hop, drum and bass and improvisation in its musical language. The instrumentation, including saxophone, bass, vibraphone and drums, creates the group's unique style, balancing between emotive melodies and polyrhythmic structures.
