About event
Exhibition of drawings and paintings by artist Ana Camilo.
Ana Camilo started these diaries during her career as a mural painting conservator-restorer, in which she recorded moments, environments and situations, with the aim of awakening the observer for different physical and emotional realities.
In his work he seeks to embrace and explore traditional techniques, namely Indian ink drawing, and its impossibility of erasing or altering any trace made.
The The central themes of his work are always places and nature. Nature in its purest state, without human presence. Small details and corners that are often forgotten. A reminder of what surrounds us, a break from the daily routine that, in a hurry, forces us to follow the same paths at the same pace.
Ana Camilo has a degree in Conservation and Restoration from the Institute Polytechnic of Tomar and Master in Museology and Museography from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. He has participated in exhibitions since 1998, of which around a hundred are collective and a dozen are individual, held in Portugal, Belgium, Brazil, the United States, France and Italy.
Some works on display were awarded prizes.
Free entry, during library opening hours.
