Exposición: "La infamia"

The proposal of this activity is to participate in a commented visit of the exhibition *** "The infamy. Catalan participation in colonial slavery" ***, which is celebrated in the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, ​​and the visit to the photographic installation *** "" Güell Variations ", *** that is exhibited in the Palau Moja de la Rambla.

The sample * "La Infàmia" * deepens the Catalan participation in the Atlantic traffic of captive people to be enslaved, and to what extent the businesses of the Catalan merchants and Indians, especially in Cuba and Puerto Rico, acquired enslaved labor.

The Installation * "Güell Variations" * is a project by photographer Jorge Ribalta (National Photography Award, 2024) that proposes a visual tracking for the family saga of the Güell and López, heirs of the Marquis de Comillas; Reason why the piece is deployed in the sumptuous halls of the Palace of Marqués de Comillas (Palau Moja): the residence of Antonio López and López, controversial entrepreneur and Negrero.

The activity has a cost of 12 euros, which include the entrance and visit commented, for people with public libraries card in Barcelona (\*) or reduced pink card.

7 euros for people with teaching card of the Generalitat, disability card, unemployment card or free pink card.

The price for people who do not have any of the indicated cards is 15 euros.
