About event
🔍 Why do people perform rituals? And what do extreme Hindu ceremonies tell us about them?
Ritual behavior is part of every culture, but what is the real sense? 🤔 Why do we invest time, energy and resources in activities that seem to have no practical benefit? The answers to these questions have been looking for social sciences for centuries.
As part of the cycle of the open world of humanities, we invite you to a lecture by Radek Kundt from the Institute of Religious Studies FF MU, which will take us to Mauritius. 🌍 On the example of the extreme Hindu rituals there will reveal mechanisms that have so far been a mystery.
