Ezra Furman + Modern Woman in Tolhuistuin

Ezra Furman is a groundbreaking indie singer-songwriter with a raw, personal style that brings together all kinds of different influences and genres. Her music touches on themes such as love, her gender identity, her Jewish origins and resistance, and sounds both vulnerable and powerful. With albums such as 'Perpetual Motion People', 'Transangelic Exodus', 'Twelve Nudes' and 'All of Us Flames', she explores genres such as rock, folk, art pop and experimental music, and Furman shows that she continues to evolve: each album is a new chapter in a search for freedom and self-expression. She also wrote the soundtrack for the popular Netflix series Sex Education, with which she reached a new audience. Live, Ezra Furman is intense and disarming, with performances that balance between tenderness and explosion.
