The Christmas season is presented as a carefree period of joy associated with gift shopping and year-end celebrations. Permanent advertising pressure, both on social networks and in public space through light advertisements and billboards, makes us forget about personal and social problems and slightly dazed transports us to the reality of the next year.

The overexposed topic of the environmental crisis and all other local and personal ones come with the new year along with sobering up. The social mood and the mood of the public space are comparable to the state of the streets and the garbage collection points on their corners. A hangover accompanied by a convoy of cars caused by another climate blockade becomes the color of the journey to work.

Just as the apocalypse was a part of everyday life in the Gothic era and Jesus, as the savior in the form of a helpless crucified body covered in blood and helplessness, today we encounter the end of the world in everyday life, and our savior has limited himself to the motifs of a burning planet.

Gradually the collapsing Merry Crisis neon sign does not compel us to initiate change, it does not serve as an activator of resistance or activism. In the daily queues that many of us experience when passing by Fuchs, this sign unreservedly forces us to experience the ongoing end of the world individually.
