Fabiana Striffler – Violin & Voice
Fabiana combines technical dedication with raw emotional expression. She sings while playing her violin. But rather than using her voice exclusively for traditional singing, she treats it as an additional instrument and explores advanced vocal techniques, improvisation and experimental sounds.
Her violin playing ranges from delicate, lyrical melodies to intense, avant-garde sonic textures. She appears in her native language. In her songs she lovingly picks apart moments of everyday life. These performances create an intimate connection between stage and audience - a direct, heartfelt experience that lingers long after the last note.
Fabiana Striffler is a very talented violinist who plays straight from the heart. Her beautiful sound is a reflection of herself. Marja Burchard - vibraphone, piano & voice
Marja is Born and raised in Munich in 1985 in the musical cosmos of her father Christian Burchard, founder and bandleader of the music group Embryo, founded in 1969. The multi-instrumentalist is heavily involved with different sounds and sound textures. That evening she tells us improvised stories on the grand piano and vibraphone. It takes us into ambient-like sound structures with synthesizers, percussion and voice through to interwoven textures and breaking patterns. It can escalate, but it doesn't have to.
Through music and various theater projects, Marja Burchard has traveled to many countries such as Mali, Senegal, Romania, Hungary, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Morocco, Brazil, etc.
In 2016, she took over the management of her father, the music group Embryo, with which she still tours at international festivals.
Meanwhile, Burchard also composes for various cinema and television films such as "Shahid" by Narges Kalhor, "Sound of my own" by Rebecca Zehr, "Critical Condition" by Mila Zhluthnko and others.
In 2023, Burchard was awarded the Music Prize of the State Capital of Munich.
In 2024 she received the Special Jury Prize at the Hessichen Filmpreis for her music for the film "Shahid" by Narges Kalhor, as well as in 2025 the German Film Critics' Prize.
