Facetie a Poggio Bracciolini

Literary musical evening directed by Milos Sládek in the Museum of Literature. Together with them we can enter the Papal Palace's ancestors, where they were allegedly told by high -ranking officials and theologians. They retain a joke from humanist amendments, with an unexpected result of the storyline, common situations are common. Their author, Poggio Bracciolini, is more known in the Czech Republic as a participant in the Council of Cone. He wants to point out the similarities and above all the differences between Czech and European early modern literature. It will focus mainly on Italian, Spanish, French, German and partly also English prose. At the same time, the cycle is a small celebration of Czech translators of the 20th century. It is a relatively little -known fact that Czech translations of the most important European literary works of the early modern times are among the master translation works, among the absolute top modern world translation. We will proceed chronologically, but taking into account some context and genre ties.
