About event
Portland OR based pianist Troll Hart and violinist Jotunn Aldas perform delicate and invigorating arrangements of traditional Irish music and beyond! Accompanied by Haymaker Bar and Eatery's fantastic food and drink menu ~
Having just released their debut album on Sept. 14th, Faerie Folk's music is described by Tony Becker at AmeriCeltic.net as;
"Performed with remarkable virtuosity, fluidity, and individualistic performance styles. Well worth a listen for serious aficionados."
Created by pianist/composer Troll Hart, Faerie Folk's repertoire is based primarily in traditional Irish reels and jigs. The group also explores soundtrack excerpts from popular medieval fantasy media, along with original neo-classical and folk music compositions.
With the incredible Jotunn Aldas on the violin/fiddle, the music of Faerie Folk is played with majesty, refinement, and devotion to Mother Earth.
Sporting influence and expertise from decades of classical, jazz, and Celtic music backgrounds, Troll and Jotunn are an inspirational duo brought together by love of music, and are excited to share that love with you!
Faerie Folk's singer, Joy Joye, who is also featured on the record, will be joining as well!
Saturday Oct. 4th will be Faerie Folk's 3rd concert at Haymaker Bar and Eatery.
