About event
Is it possible to escape the past and live on with impunity? Is retribution possible? What's the point? Is it possible to wash away the guilt? How to live with its awareness? Is it possible to forgive and forget?
Geneva Philharmonic. The dressing room of the internationally renowned conductor H. P. Miller shortly after the end of one of his concerts. The orchestra did not play well, so Miller is angry. He just wants to shower and go home. But his great admirer León Dinkel comes to him in the dressing room, who claims that he came all the way from Belgium to the concert just to pay his respects to the maestro. Miller can't get rid of the annoying Dinkel, Dinkel doesn't want to leave the locker room at any cost. Miller wants to call the police, but everything changes when he sees the old photo that Dinkel brought him. Miller's terrifying past, hidden all his life, enters the dressing room with an old photograph. Who really is León Dinkel? What does he really want? Who will leave the dressing room at the end of the interview?
The play Falošná nota had its world premiere at the Off d´Avignon festival in 2017, then it was transferred to the Théâtre Michel in Paris. A powerful story full of tension with a masterfully constructed plot puts the viewer in the role of judge. The Hamlet spirit of the play reveals the truth of the past and tears off the masks that hide the true face of the two protagonists who are playing a "chess game" against each other. The audience witnesses the gradual psychological collapse of a man who first tries to save his reputation and then his bare life in a game he is forced to play against his will.
