About event
Venice in March 1726: An inspection is pending at the Ospedale della Pietá orphanage run by Antonio Vivaldi. Can Vivaldi convince the strict auditor Carlo Controletti of the beauty of playing the violin and the meaning of making music? An equally exciting and humorous stage play by Andreas Peer Kähler with costumes and wigs, in which the violinist Gustav Frielinghaus (Amaryllis Quartet Stuttgart) not only plays Vivaldi's famous “Four Seasons”, but also impersonates the maestro himself. In addition to the Unter den Linden chamber orchestra, there is a Berlin children's string orchestra and 11-year-old Maria Elisabeth Lange as a violin soloist.
After the concert, visitors young and old can try out the musical instruments of the Klingendes Museum Berlin in the foyer under expert guidance.
Recommended for ages 5 and up. Duration of the concert: approx. 60 minutes (no break)
