About event
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition Color determines the space of the artists Dominika Žáková and Silvia Ďurovcová Barteková. ✨
The exhibition brings a dialogue between two abstract artists who work uniquely with color. Silvia Ďurovcová Barteková understands color more physically and intuitively. It is based on gesture, movement and mood. The finished image is emotionally strong, convincing, while the color determines the shape and compositional structure of the image. For Dominika Žáková, color acts as a clear and thought-out system. Using color, the author develops her philosophical thinking, which does not end with current scientific knowledge. With the help of an artistic image, he points out the endless possibilities of human perception of color and its effect on the spiritual life of a person both today and in the distant future. The title of the exhibition COLOR DETERMINES SPACE refers to the common foundation of both authors. In their paintings, color is the basic carrier of thought. It determines the shape, creates the composition, connects the layers, defines the space, gives the image internal weight and maintains the tension.
We look forward to seeing you!
