Fašank u šlechtičen

We invite fans of folklore and Moravian customs to the palace of noblewries to celebrate Fašanka, prepared by the Slovácký ensemble Šafran Brno in cooperation with the ensemble of songs and dances of the May. The folklore program will be commemorated in the form of a fascation in the village of Komňa in Slovácko. Here the tradition of so -called saber dance is maintained, which shows four "Skakun" with sabers - originally they were military papers. This tradition is recorded on the list of non -materials of traditional folk culture of the Czech Republic. The masks are taken care of by the ensemble of the mayf and this year will not miss interesting masquerads, especially the bear, which is one of the oldest documented types of carnival characters. The bear was to ensure the crop - the more he jumped, the higher the grain. The bear also brought fertility, so the bear dancing was supposed to ensure other descendants.
