2005 Adrian Oetiker (piano) as well as the Berlin Philharmonic Christoph Streuli (violin) and David Riniker (violoncello) founded the Feininger Trio. Lyonel Feininger, whose Berlin studio was not far from the rehearsal location of the ensemble in the Berlin-Zehlendorf district, the name of her trio, the painter, graphic artist and co-founder of the Bauhaus, you feel closely connected as a personality as well as in his work. In addition to the stylistic diversity, the three musicians are tonal warmth, expressiveness and refinement, but also the exploring of the border areas are the basis of their interpretations. The criticism always emphasizes the large spectrum of nuances and timbres, but also the expressive and gripping game, even "intoxicating representation" (Fono Forum). The Feiningers can be heard regularly at concert podiums in Berlin, Hamburg, Salzburg, Munich and Valencia as well as in smaller concert cycles such as in Liestal, Solothurn or Bayreuth. Invitations have also led the trio to festivals in Baden-Baden and Zurich, the Beethovenfest Bonn and the Prague and Heidelberg spring. In the 2023/2024 season, the trio, among other things, guest in the chamber music hall of the Berlin Philharmonic, at the Castle Concerts Nordkirchen and Switzerland. The trio has made a name for itself with its dramaturgically well thought -out programs. According to the main areas of Bohemia, France and Russia, a Brahms cycle has just come to a conclusion, which relates its three trios to work by the younger Viennese composers Zemlinsky, Korngold and Krenek. In addition to preparing a Schubert cycle, the Feiningers also work on an exciting interdisciplinary project with the composer Konstantia Gourzi, the choreographer Sommer Ulrickson and the stage designer Alexander Polzin. The beginning of the collaboration was the premiere of the piano trio "Apollon" composed by Konstantia Gourzi as part of the "Eigenzeit Festival" of the Duisburg Philharmonic in May 2023. On the occasion of the Easter Festival 2017 in Baden-Baden, they designed an atmospheric program with the motto "... o sink Hernieder, Nacht der Liebe" with compositions by Schubert and Chopin as well as poetry by Shakespeare, Rilke, Benn, Lasken-Schüler, among other things. His chamber music partners included Josef Suk, Emmanuel Pahud, Albrecht Mayer, Sebastian Breuninger. After the first piano lessons with his father and with Hans-Rudolf Boller, Adrian Oetiker studied in the master class of Homero Francesch at the Zurich University of the Arts and at Bella Davidovich at the Juilliard School in New York. Lazar Berman was also one of his teachers. He received various national prizes and scholarships early on, and soon successes followed by international competitions (Cologne, Clara Haskil, Dublin and others). In 1995 he won the ARD's international piano competition in Munich. Since 1996 he has been a professor of piano at the Basel University of Music, and has been the artistic director of the International Summer Academy Lenk since 2010. In 2011 he was appointed to the University of Music and Theater in Munich. After studying at the Winterthur Conservatory with Rudolf Bamert and in the master class of Aida Stucki, Zurich Geiger Christoph Streuli continued his training at Herman Krebbers in Amsterdam in 1991-94. In master classes at Franco Gulli, Walter Levin and the Melos quartet, he perfected his skills. In 1997 he became a member of the Berlin Philharmonic. As a committed chamber musician, he belonged to the Scharoun Ensemble and played with Guy Braunstein, Leonidas Kavakos, Julia Fischer, Yuja Wang and Bishara Harouni.
