Felix Sandman began his career in music through dance. At only 14 years old, he was handpicked from his dance class to audition for the next big boy band – FO&O. The band became international pop stars and stayed together for four years, before Sandman decided to pursue his solo career. The debut album Emotions, with hits such as Lovisa and Imprint, was a first step towards finding their own musical expression. The album also contained the song Every Single Day, which became his first chart topper. For the album, he won a Rock Bear for Breakthrough of the Year, as well as being nominated for Pop of the Year at P3 Gold and Best Swedish Act in the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Despite only 25 years old, Felix Sandman is today already a veteran in the music industry . As both artist and actor, he has made a well-known name at home as well as internationally - and despite the fact that he has not released new music since 2020, he exceeds 400,000 listeners a month on Spotify. After taking a break from music to heal himself and reassess his artistry, Felix is now ready to show the world what he's been working on for the past four years - and with it a brand new sound. In the spring of 2024, Sandman will release a new EP and he is currently working on his second album. The basic essence is still pop, but the biggest influences now come from hip-hop, r'n'b and alternative music. Felix has not only experimented with different song structures but also voice effects and rap. It is also the first time he has written the lyrics entirely himself, which has made them more introspective and opened up for a wider range of emotions to take place. The first release of the spring is the single Lunas Interlude which is out now and is an in-between track that wasn't really intended as a single. But when Felix and producer David had completed the song, the musical vision became clear, so it also felt fitting that the song should usher in the new era. In connection with the release of the EP's first single, the first part of the associated music video - which Felix himself directed.
"I don't see it as a comeback, I see it as launching a brand new artist. I have a new team and have become the boss of my own life. Now there are no more compromises," says Felix.
