Femislam is a celebration of women in slam poetry, who have a large presence on the Slovak scene. It is also a possibility to enjoy the best female performers in full force, in one place and with increased intensity!
Come and see an exceptional show at the Barmuseum and decide which of the straw girls will become the queen of the evening.
In the star list, 25.11. at 19:00 they will present:
NATY: Naty tries to admit in her lyrics to the feelings she is afraid to express, so that she can say that it is only an art form and it means nothing. Don't be fooled, he means the emotions he describes seriously, but not the jokes. It would be a problem if someone got it wrong. Naty enjoys slam for several reasons - she can complain (which she's very good at) and it's a way to express feelings and tell bad jokes without being taken seriously. Maybe that is also the reason why he is studying psychology. He rambles on about pretty women, his family and everything else that's on his mind (but mostly it's the pretty women).
ABBY: The most prominent voice of trans people in Slovak slam, initiator of ecumenical programs, trainer of snail pokemon, cook of social soups, forever second, fluent in Slovak, proud Štítnica.
ĽALIA: Fusion between poetry and slam, boldness and tenderness, mesmerizing expression and fragility. Ľalia is a rising star of the Slovak Slam whose name you should remember.
BARBI VIKITER:
A slammer who talks a lot and writes even more. If it is possible, it is always and everywhere, if it is not possible, it writes. A full-time student who weaves medical concepts into her slams to feel the meaning of studying medicine. If he is not studying for exams, he is writing. He performs his texts in Slam Poetry Sk all over Slovakia. Maybe even now, at this moment, for this event, he is writing something new.
MEMENTO MORI:
Philosophy meets punk. In her lyrics, she mixes existential questions with street truth, and she does not play any performative character on stage. She is the embodiment of the torn thoughts of a person who refuses to silence them.
REXY: Rexy is the unique and only slamming drag queen on the Slovak slam scene! She is the queen of makeup and breaking the cardinal rule of Slam Poetry - no costume. However, we will forgive her for her charm and the type of event this time!
On stage, she will impress you not only with her playful outfits, but also with her lyrics, through which she reveals the natural femininity of her masculine civilian self.
